Can Emberalis read my vault?
No. Everything is encrypted in your browser before upload and your password never leaves your device. We store only encrypted data we cannot open.
What happens if I just forget a check-in?
Nothing dramatic. You get reminders over several days and your contacts are asked to reach you first. Access is only released at the very end of the escalation, and you can pause or adjust it anytime.
What do my contacts see today?
Nothing. They only receive access to the items you assigned to them, and only after the full escalation protocol completes.
What if I lose my password?
Your recovery kit restores access. Without your password or recovery code nobody can decrypt the vault, including us. That is the point.
Do I have to pay?
No. The free plan covers the core protection protocol. Paid plans add more storage, vault items and emergency contacts.
